If you are looking for a quick lunch, stop by My Dung Sandwich Shop, a Chinatown staple for a Banh mi. The small storefront, located on Ord St., also sells fresh fruit and is known for their cheap sandwiches and fast service.


If you are in the mood for Filipino food, check out LASA. Named the 2018 Food & Wine Restaurant of the Year, this Filipino-inspired California-infused restaurant serves the best modern Pinoy food. While a reservation is recommended for dinner, you can stop by and try one of their bowls for a fast and casual lunch.

Super Tortas D.F.

This food cart offers no-frills Mexican tortas and tacos filled with meats, cheeses, and eggs. Their mobile kitchen is located on 41st St & Central is South LA and is open Thursdays — Sundays from 4 – 11 p.m.


Located in the Crenshaw District Earle’s is a great spot if you are in the mood for a burger or hot dog. The restaurant serves both meat and vegetarian hot dogs and burgers to-go and has been an LA staple for over 30 years.

Mason’s Dumpling Shop

Serving Chinese dumplings out of Highland Park, Mason’s Dumpling Shop has a quick and casual setting. The restaurant is open until 9 p.m. so you can stop by for lunch or dinner.

South City Fried Chicken

Located in the Corporation Food Hall downtown, South City Fried Chicken serves up fast but delicious fried chicken sandwiches. The restaurant combines Southern cuisine, family recipes, and California’s freshest ingredients to create their sandwiches.

Zankou Chicken

Zankou Chicken is a chain of family-owned Mediterranean restaurants in Los Angeles. With seven restaurants located around the city, Zankou is a great spot for a quick and easy pita wrap.
