Most Festive Things to Do in Los Angeles This Season

Los Angeles is a unique place, largely because it is home to people from all over the world. This incredible diversity has resulted in a community and culture that you cannot find anywhere else. Regardless of the holidays you celebrate, the winter season in Los Angeles is an incredible fun and festive time of the year. While it may not come with the white Christmas that many have sung about, it still is an amazing place to spend this holiday season.

Visit Disneyland

Nobody knows how to ring in the holiday season better than Walt Disney. The grandiose nature of the holiday season in Disneyland is something that you must experience at least once, regardless of your own traditions. This theme park is notorious for these celebrations, but every single year, they get more extravagant, constantly adding new entertainment, decorations, and of course, food. Along with all of the classic rides, old favorites dress in their holiday best, like the Haunted Mansion Holiday, the It’s a Small World Holiday, and much more. You can also enjoy the most fantastic lights displays you have ever seen, endless parades, and fireworks.

The Mission Inn Festival of Lights

This festival is almost always voted the best lights display in the country. With one visit, you will understand why. Over four million lights twinkle all over the gorgeous architecture of this classic property. But the lights themselves are simply providing the ambiance for something much greater that you can take advantage of. Take a ride in Santa’s sleigh, create some arts and crafts, or pet some reindeer. There is also amazing live entertainment and a full-size ice skating rink. A holiday season spent in Los Angeles is not quite complete without a visit to this one of a kind festival of lights. You can partake in everything going on here on Main Street at the Mission Inn!

The Walt Disney Concert Hall

There are many things that remind us of the holidays, but the most important reminder for many of us is the music that we have heard our whole lives, and you have never heard it quite like this. Orchestras expertly play all of your favorite holiday tunes in grandiose fashion. You can catch shows like the family-friendly sing along, Bing Crosby’s White Christmas, and so much more.

Los Angeles does not provide the classic snowy rooftops and brisk weather that is indicative of this season in so many places, but it truly offers a unique experience for this time of year. There is no bad time to visit the City of Angels, but this is certainly the best time.
